A gorgeous Danish boutique hotel situated in... California?
Yes, you read that right. Solvang (Danish for "Sunny Field') is a city in the Golden State. Founded in 1911 by a group of Danes who sought to build a colony in the far west of the USA. Full of delicious Danish bakeries, wine tasting & exquisite provincial architecture. It is also home to the Landsby Hotel.
Their signature restaurant Mad & Vin ("Food & Wine" - we're sold) has a beautiful outdoor patio & their luxurious suites capture the heart of Scandinavian style with their muted palettes & minimal yet cosy decor.
